DIY Teacher-Created Resources: Making Your Own Educational Materials with Technology – 3 semester hours credit
Sometimes you just have to “Do It Yourself” and make your own instructional resources to meet the needs of your students.  Learn how to create a variety of educational materials using online tools, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.   This course will empower you to make your own resources such as worksheets, assessments, center activities, rubrics, checklists, posters, presentations, e-books, and more!  Get tips about putting your resources online and sharing them too.  This course is self-paced and participants are not required to log on to the course website at any specific time. Participants must have access to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, version 2007 or later.  This course is suitable for teachers in grades preK through 12. Three semester hours of graduate credit available from Lake Erie College for $515.  Start the course anytime between May 1st and August 1st.  Your grade will be submitted when you finish the course. All coursework must be completed by August 31st.

Let’s Learn About Making Lessons for the Smart Board with Notebook Software – 2 semester hours credit
Click on the title above to go to course home page.  Are you ready to take your use of Smart Boards to the next level?  Smart Notebook software is a powerful presentation tool that enables you to create and organize interactive lessons for use with Smart Boards.    This course will give you the necessary knowledge and skills to develop lessons in Notebook Software for use on a Smart Board using your learning goals and content. We will dig deep into topics such as drawing tools, customizing the Gallery, creating interactive pages, and much more.  This course is self-paced and participants are not required to log on to the course website at any specific time.  Beginning, intermediate, and advanced Smart Board users will all feel comfortable in this course and gain new knowledge.  Participants must have Smart Notebook software installed on their computer; a free 30 day download is available if you do not already have access to the software through your school.   This course is suitable for teachers in grades preK through 12.
